Dangerous Drugs - Aricept
Recent FDA investigations have focused on Aricept, a popular drug used to treat Alzheimer's disease. Of 974 patients studied, 11 died from the use of Aricept compared with no deaths occurring amongst those treated with placebo. Further research has also revealed a possible link between the use of Aricept and serious heart disease. At this time, there are no recommendations to change the labeling of the drug or to report increased health risks as the result of its use.
